Newcastle University Fellwalking Society

Welcome to NUFWS! If you like hiking, you’ve come to the right place. We run regular trips to the Lake District, Scotland, and other places such as the Yorkshire Dales.

As well as our wonderful trips, we run weekly socials on a Wednesday. You can usually find us at The Strawberry pub from 8pm on a Wednesday (check instagram story up to 24 hours beforehand). We love to meet new people so do come along on a Wednesday, even if you’re not a member!

All our trips and socials are advertised via our Instagram page and our members-only Whatsapp community, as well as through the weekly emails, which you can sign up to on our NUSU page. (These weekly emails contain the link for the whatsapp, or you can email one of committee about it, or DM the instagram.)

Also, if you are a member you can ask a member of committee if you want to borrow any kit from the society for personal use if it’s available – you will be charged for any kit you lose or damage. This includes borrowing kit for trips.
